Fact #1

The first fact you must know about health starts with; if you allow yourself to succumb to the sticky effect of laying on the couch and not exercising on a consistent and regular basis, then you can expect to cause yourself to have high blood pressure. And having high blood pressure translates to a much higher risk of heart disease and stroke. Pretty severe, and how effective is heart disease at killing people? Well, it’s one of the top two leading causes of death, right next to having a stroke. Just take a look at some of these headlines. The science is in, and not exercising will lead to your untimely death. That’s the first fact you must know about health. It’s a heavy one, but if looked at the right way, you can use this fact to keep you going and get on a healthier path.

Fact #2

The second fact you must know starts with your nutrition. As you could probably guess, having a healthy diet is essential. We’ve all been told this growing up, but certain foods are very hard to resist for some people. And those foods are usually very unhealthy. It’s sad to realize, but just because a company packages an item and labels it food, it doesn’t mean it’s actually good for you. Recognizing this next fact may help to make it a bit easier to resist the unhealthy food.
Simply put, an unhealthy diet is going to kill you. Remember the heart disease and stroke I was talking about in the previous fact? Yeah, if you have a poor diet, you can put yourself in those risk categories as well, and don’t forget about diabetes and cancer. Our bodies are a complex system that demands physical attention and good nutrition. We have several decades of data that clearly shows us the negative health implications of a poor diet. It basically tells us that the wrong food over consumed, over time, will kill you. And before it kills you, you’ll be tending to your blood sugar levels daily while also worrying about when you’ll die of a stroke. So, nutrition is important. Start paying attention.

Fact #3

The third fact you must know is that exercising and eating healthy will help to keep you away from all of the chronic diseases that not exercising and not having a good diet will cause. For starters, exercising lowers your blood pressure, which helps take you out of the high-risk category of having heart disease and stroke. Additionally, eating less sodium and eating healthy does the same. Exercising and eating healthy will help ease depressive symptoms, thus increasing your mood. And both exercising and eating healthy will make everyday tasks, like walking up stairs easier, you’ll breathe better, and just have an overall healthier life, which translates to having a higher quality of living, all the way up to the end. And that’s the last fact you must know.

For some, these facts might scare you, and maybe they might make you mad. Hopefully, no matter how you feel about them, you take these facts in stride and ensure that you’ll move forward more conscious of your health. That’s the whole point of this video, when you’re trying to resist eating that donut or you’re coming up with excuses for skipping your next workout, think of these facts. Think of what lies ahead of you if you continuously choose not to exercise and not to eat healthy, then you’ll see that you don’t really have a choice but to be healthy. Good luck.
